So people who have their TV and other odds and sods not mounted on the wall, how to you manage/tidy up all the cables behind your tv unit?

Could do with some kind of trunking type thing for behind the tv to hide them all in!

Have a TV unit that isn't made of glass :) the cables are still there but unless you're Superman you can't see them.

the best thing is the JML caby tidy things. Can get cheaper ones than JML. It turns a nest of cables into a few 'cords'. Ive used them loads they work really well.

I've gone with the "rat's nest" method of cable management.

Mind you, what's behind the TV has nothing on what's behind the PC... I'm sure about half the cables there aren't even being used anymore! :D

I use velcro stuff at work for cable runs so maybe will try that, although need something to just dump the wires in, like a hard shell or something.

I've used a combination of the jml type cable tidy's, cable twist ties and masking tape, spent an hour Saturday morning doing it, managed to smarten it up a lot. A lot of the wires are now masking taped to behind the unit (wooden job from Ikea) so you can't see anything.

Without fail every time i tidy up my cables or move my pc's, im left with 3 or 4 cables that i have no idea what they were for and were obviously not in use.

I actually have a box full of these now, its almost like a fairy comes every so often to mess with my head.
