Hey,

Seen this at £400 and thinking of getting one as a start for a home studio

Anyone got one and got anything to say about them? Pros, cons? Software they work well with or any other better solutions.

Not done much home recording before, mainly a live sound man.

Any recos would be great, and pics and reviews of the DDX.

Thanks,

Dave

Looks good for what it is - going the hardware route might be harder than going the software route - although I imagine it would be nice to be able to control EVERYTHING using your hands rather than with mouse clicks or assignable MIDI...

I would be wary about the fact that it doesn't list touch-sensitive faders in the spec sheet - if your faders aren't touch sensitive it will agitate you if you end up wrestling with the faders during automation

Cool, cheers, anyone else got anything to say about it?

Dont be so impatient - you've only waited 20 minutes...

Also, remember that its Behringer - all of their stuff is cheap and 50% of it is crap. Some of its is good value indeed so definately try before buy... maybe Digital Village ifyou have one close

Always put that after threads lol. I live 20 mins away from a shop called GAK, one of the best sites online for pro audio, guitars etc. They have one on demo there im sure, if not I know a friends friend who I think is getting one so ill try his when he gets it.

We have that exact mixer in our recording studio and its been back 4 times.
It also cost our guitarist nearly £2000 when he bought it.

Two weeks ago I did a gig where we used the in house PA and it was a Behringer 24:2 desk. It was virtually impossible to get a decent sound out of it.
We did the first set and obviously the sound wasn't right and a few faces were pulled but we got on with it. During the break it transpired there were about 5 other local bands in watching us and they all told us they bring their own PA. I wouldn't touch Behringer.

I generally use Behringer stuff at themoment for just at home and tbh I have never had one problem with it. Also, ohter people highly praise some of it though.

However, I agree that some of it is totally crap.

For £400 though, I think I might give it a go, its only for my use at home so I still might give it a go.
