Being a little bit admin on css

Right on my fav server which ive been on everyday since css first came out lets you have admin powers for £5 a month. Ill be able to join the server whenever i want even though its full and ill be able to change the map and kick and ban ppl. So do you think its worth it keeping in mind that i play it everyday.

Theres already about 15 admins on there but some of them abuse it a little, but if i got it i would be a fair admin. What i want to know is what you think makes a good admin, i already know, after playing the game for ages but i would like to know from you lot.

Theres one thing stopping me from getting it besides waiting for post from you lot. Its this paypal, basically i have know idea what it is. Is it something dodgy is it safe to use???

I wouldn't, find another server if the admin's are idiots.

It should be okay to use and many people use it for online transactions. I use it myself without any problems so far. As for paying to play £5 a month is nothing if you're on every day if you know the community well. Yes you can play on other servers but you won't be "known".

If some people abuse the admin then send a private complaint to the owner of the server with a list of your concerns and see what they say.

I think a good admin keeps an eye on the servers population and makes sure there are no arguments/abuse between players (especially racism), has a good eye on spotting cheats and will allow people to play a decent game of CSS without changing the map every 5-10 minutes to dust2 whenever (s)he feels like it.

The old server that I was an admin and clan member we paid £5 a month, though it was at a cybercafe I visited most days of the week and got lots of discounts so I wasn't complaining, plus the guy was a very nice bloke!

Ive been playing CS for years and this is the first time ive heard about it.

If you play it every day, you could always just buy your own server for 6 months or so, and then just buy more months later.

It's more fun having your own server, and you could even get your own clan going

surely youre paying for the server and stuff rather than just to be an admin. if its your fave server and you like the people on there then the £5 is worth the gurantee'd slot really.

tbh id go n find a clan server you enjoy playing on, then join the clan and work your way up to being granted admin, thats the way ive done it and it feels a lot better when you know youve worked your way up and gained the respect of your fellow members

if you get to the stage where paypal wants you to give them bank details open another account and transfer money into that account as you need to. They have been know to withdraw money from accounts without people knowing!, it's a nightmare trying to get it back as they have all kinds of clauses in the smallprint ,they can hold onto the money for months etc
