My wife has a blackberry contract with o2. shes about 6 months into it and not looking to change, but three keep ringing her asking her if she is currently in a contract and would she like to switch to three.

We keep asking the people who ring to stop ringing us, they dont have any details about us, just merely a phone number. Every time we ring they start off again from scratch (do you have a contract currently madam ?) and every time we tell them to put a note on their system to stop calling her, but so far to no avail as they keep ringing.

I dont want them to have our number, when pressed they state it they got it from ofcomm which i highly doubt

Any ideas how i can get them to stop ringing ?

i've registered with the telephone preference service.

they said they got the number from ofcom, and that if i want them to stop ringing i have to contact them.

i've read between the lines and got the gist that they've bought my number and the only way to stop them being able to buy it is to register with the TPS (which sure enoug the ofcom website says to do if you dont want sales calls)

Are you sure its actually Three calling? I had this towards the end of my last contract and although they made it sound as if they worked for Three, the company was called something slightly different and from what I could make out they weren't affiliated with Three at all.

As mentioned above, after the fourth or fifth call I blagged that it was work phone and I had nothing to do with the contract.

yes because the first thing they say is "this is the mobile network three calling"
