Bejeweled 2 help

ok, someone has brought in their laptop saying that everytime they open bejeweled 2 it askes them to put in their username, which it didnt do before. now i have never played this before, so had a look through the options and nothing, gave the game a go, got a score on the highscore table, and closed the game. opened it, and it asked me to enter my name again, but the high score was still there. now is this normal and he is just confused, or should it remember the last username that used the game?

I can't clarify for sure. But the new bejeweled remembers my username.

I'd suggest opening the program files folder for bejewled and taking a sniff around. Seeing if you can find the usernames saved anywhere other than the high scores. If not then your answer is no; it doesn't save.

Plus highlight all folders/files in bejewled folder and disable any read only iterations.

Can't really think of anything else right now..

Run as administrator perhaps? Maybe it isn't saving the settings correctly under a standard account.

didnt even think about it as he claimed it always worked, until he got a virus.
