Believe card is dying

Alienware m17x r3 (2011) windows 10
laptop has intel hd3000 onboard graphics and also ati/amd 6950 card

machine has been running sweet when all of a sudden today i get a black screen while on the net? so i reboot and notice that some of the post text is garbled. drop into bios and switch from amd card to intel graphics and everything is fine switch back and post text is garbled and laptop will not load past windows boot icon
at the moment i have taken the 6950 card out and everything is running normally. Anyone have any other ideas or am i correct in assuming my graphic card is broken/fried?

Sounds like the GPU is on the way out but still could something else, so still worth trying the card in another machine. If you get the same post screen and errors, i am willing to bet it is the GPUs Bios or a video memory error.
I would remove the request for a second hand card as trading outside the members market is against forum rules.

cheers for reply, request removed thanks for the heads up on that, unfortunatley i am not able to try the card in another machine, spare alienwares are not that easy to come by and i dont think the card would fit in any other bog standard laptop, would it?
