Belinea 102035 speaker issues

I have a Belinea 102035 thats just over 12 months old.I rarely use the speakers, preferring headphones, but now i cant hear them ( the speakers). I have checked the volume on the monitor/sound card, but nothing is muted ( the headphones are fine).I have reset the monitor and checked all the info on the xfi, but everything seems ok. Has anyone experienced a speaker failure with this monitor? or have i missed something in set up that has been changed?

I used to have this monitor before i upgraded to my dell. I only ever used the speakers once (connected to my xbox). But the sound quality was so poor and tiny i never used it again.
