Belinea 102035W

Well Nazbit... it runs at just under a 1600*1200 resolution... so if it struggles at that then you're knackered.

Thanks

I think im going to try and pick up a used 6800GT or 6800 Ultra in the MM and then go for the monitor in a few weeks in order to make sure that the performance is good when I get it.

I'll hang around this thread though to see other peoples opinions and decide if this is the monitor for me. ;)

:D Yeh I know

Its just that they are very mixed at the moment, although the monitor itself seems to have good image quality there appear to be some issues with the build quality, backlighting and dead pixels and such, £350 is a lot of money to me so I want to wait until there is a clearer cut general opinion on this monitor.

Didn't you just answer your own question? It is a decent mitor that has its faults, as you just accurately described. :)

In early 2006 there's a Viewsonic 20.1" with 3ms response time coming out... i'd wait for that (I am waiting for that).

Ha ha actually I suppose I did :D

I suppose I'm just not sure about £350 on something that seems to be having a lot of these faults if I need to pay a little more to get something with better build quality then its probably worth it.

I have heard a little bit about this viewsonic, it sounds better on paper but wil It be in the same price range? I would imagine it to be worth significantly more on the market?

Sounds pretty nice then :D Any ideas when in 2006 we will be seeing it? :D

I'm thinking I will have the money in the first week in Febuary if not late Jan.

build quality is good, if your talking about the exterior features etc of the monitor. The main problem with backlight bleeding on monitors like this is because of the size of the monitor your more incline to see the bleeding than you would on say a smaller monitor.

I'm a perfectionist so when i spend £350 on a monitor i want it perfect, hence why im having my new replacement monitor replaced again. I'm in search for the illusive bleed free and dead pixel monitor from belinea.

btw the two monitors I have had were both built on the 20th November 2005, when was everyone else's monitor built who has this particular monitor?

If you want support and a hassle free warranty soloution then maxdata are No 1 in this field.

I can only commend them in the way they have helped me out with the issues I have had in the last week or so.

Hi Scousegit - you're still going on this then are you? Have you got dead pixels on your replacement or is it just the lightbleed?

I'm very happy with mine now, zero pixel problems and the backlight bleed is better. Still not perfect but I've got a feeling it never will be on this model. My replacement Has a lovely even display now in most apps, and I'm going to try and stop looking for light bleeding when the screen is dark.

How do you find the exact manufacture date? I can see mine is week 45 of 2005 and that's all.

I'd also say build quality/ looks are very good on this monitor, better than Dell TFTs anyway...

hi wunkley, the date of manufacturer is on the back of the monitor by were you connect the DVI cable, the label that identifies the model etc, it says the date of manufacturer on it aswell.

tbh the light bleedin is not a major issue, but knowin it's there again bugs me.

it's not that noticeable either, you could call me mad, but I wanna try another monitor one more time.

Will let all concerned know the outcome tommorow afternoon.

Cheers

I'm still having a problem with getting it to display at its native resolution. At the moment I'm using it in a dual monitor setup whilst I wait for the mobo to arrive. Can anyone help me on this? Got a Go5600 FX card, on a Sony VAIO Laptop.

I already had the driver installed. Tried installing the windows update - that had no effect. I think it's probably my video card limiting it. Unsure of how to get that working.. well my mobo will come next week so not to worry..

on my third 102035W now, and it's worse than the second one I had, and maybe even worse than the first one.

they were all built on the same date, wether this says something I do not know.

Would love to be able to send this back to ocuk for some kind of a refund.

Getting ^%&%^& off with gettin it swapped out now.

everytime I rang maxdata I get through to the same dutch bloke lol, He must think im takin the ^&&*%^

may ring them monday see if they can think of a remedy, There sending me brand new ones out everytime due to the age of the monitor being less than 1mth old this is there policy, I may try and ask for a "TESTED" Refurb.

Orderd and fitted one for a mate, and the backlight bleeding on this TFT is pretty bad, not what I would call acceptable, might be why the price seems so good.

He was willing to live with it to see how it effects his use as it's going to be neigh on impossible getting a replacment before the Christmas period and it's his only screen source.

got mine today, its bloody perfect, no light bleed, not a single dead pixel, works find an its only connected via vga, via cable has yet to arrive. Im amazed by it, damn good screen resolution as well!

Glad to hear yours is fine. Have you let the monitor warm up for more than 10minutes to look for light bleeding, I would be very suprised indeed if you did not have any kind of bleeding, When was your monitor built?

Cheers
