Belkin 1000VA UPS

Hi all,
anyone got this ups system, if so can u tell me how long it takes to charge up as it doesnt say on the belkin website

i have the 1200va version. initial charge was 24 hours

ok the 1200 takes just under 2 hours for a full charge
also runs my shuttle for a hour so i should survive the next power cut ok

I would consider APC instead. Talking of which how would you connect components with UK power plug to a female IEC? Is their a adaptor? I don't want to snip the plug off. It's for a set of speakers- the flurosecent light causes crackles from the speakers as it switches on. Will plugging it to surge only or full UPS line fix this problem?

Do overclockers sell IEC female to male? Basically need to connect http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BR800I

to monitor, and one for the PSU.

not all of us have the money for an APC m8, the reason i asked was because i have found the 1000va belkin for just under £80 which in my understanding is cheap as ocuk sell it for £100 and the smaller belkins dont last long enough.
