Hiya all.

Can anyone help me out here? I think I might just have to tweak a setting but im not sure which one!

Im running the above adapter on win 7 64 bit and it works fine apart from when I boot up the system I have to remove the adapter from its dock and re attach it to get the pc to recognise its connected to the system. Any ideas why this might be?

I just thought it would be a simple case of plug in and leave alone forever. Its a few years old now mind, could that have anything to do with it you think?

i had the same issue with a Belkin adaptor for months and months with windows XP. i tried an updated USB mobo driver and checked i was running the latest driver for the dongle and i was. It ended up annoying me so much I bought an internal card and gave up with it. My mum currently uses it but she's on the laptop most of the time rather than the desktop where the Dongle is.

i am running the same OS and had the same problem with the usb dongle aswel.
it works fine when plugged into my notebook. and since uninstalling the drivers in an attempt to reinstal i now get errors so icannot use it at all. currently trailing a 30m network cable about the house till i get a PCI card

I have had the same issue with a dlink on a w7 64bit machine, the same adapters work fine on 32bit w7. vista and xp... (must have had 4 w7 64bit machines non of which work corrrectly with the dlink's I use until they are moved and plugged in again)

I would consider a different make considering they are only £15 a pop...

If anyone know what W7 64bit has this issue or how to resolve it I would be interested to know...
