I have a Belkin F5D7633UK High Speed Mode 125Mbps Wireless Router which is set-up correctly and is connecting to the internet via hardwire aswell as wireless however on one PC which is using a Belkin F5D7001UK 125g Wireless PCI Adapter the speed is being shown as 54mbps even though it's set-up for 125mbps on the router.

I had trouble using Belkins own wireless utility so I've just left it to windows.

Even at 54mbps, downloads are very slow too so something is wrong somewhere but I'm lost for idea's.

The router is only a few meters away seperated by only 1 wall so I doubt it's a line of sight problem.

Any ideas

no change. Does it show the true speed when you place the cursor over the wireless icon or does it show no higher than 54mbps regardless if it's higher?
