Belkin PCMCIA card issues

Hi all,

I've recently bought a Belkin PCMCIA card to connect my ACER ASPIRE 3000 laptop to my wireless router. However it's shockingly inconsistent as I'll boot up the laptop and the card will work well for an hour or so, then drop it's connection and sometimes won't come back up and I'll have to find an ethernet cable. Then other times it just won't connect to my wifi at all.

I'm confused as one of my PCs uses a PCI wireless card and is flawless, I just seem to be having unpredictable issues with the laptop and this PCMCIA card.

Any suggestions as to how I can remedy this?

Cheers.

Does the Aspire 3000 not have unboard wireless?

Belkin are dodgy as Del Boy.

Try getting the latest driver from the Belkin site and cross your fingers.

It doesn't no, however it does have a slot underneath it for a wifi card of some sorts - I may look at that.

I've also borrowed a usb dongle, which I'll try tonight and if that works I'll return the Belkin card.

Cheers.
