Belkin router - can i assign an ip to a mac address permanently?

Hi. I have a Belkin F5d7633 and I've got two computers wired to it and about 3 wireless.

What I want is that whenever I connect the computers to the router, they are given the same IP address they had before, and the ip addresses for these comptuers will never be given to another mac address.

the web interface has a DHCP client list and it shows me all the currently assigned ip addresses. and if I don't need to turn off the router, it works fine and by setting lease time to "forever" it remembers the ip addresses for each mac address.

Problem is as soon as you restart it, it forgets everything and starts again.

this is really annoying when i need to get to a specific file on a specific computer. I need to go into the Belkin web interface to see what IP address that comptuer has.

My netgear remembered everything I told it. Is there a way to do this with the Belkin?
any help is appreciated.

can you not just specify the ip address on each machine in the tcp/ip properties of the network connection and instead of having it set to automatic set it manual and enter the ip address you want the machine to have

yes but the three laptops use at least three different wireless access points, and the other two (which we have no control of) don't use the same ip addresses.

I'd rather fix the problem than have to change my ip address everytime I go to work.

On each machine just give them all different static IP addresses.

static.ip.address.php

Is there nowhere in the Belkin setup a feature called "Address Reservation" or similar?
I do exactly this at home.
I don't want to be messing around with IP settings on the actual PC's - this is a step backwards with regards networking.

I use a Netgear DG834G and it was simply a matter of telling the router to always give a certain MAC address a certain IP address.
This is written to the router, so power outage or reboot and the setting sticks.
I'd be surprised if the Belkin hasn't got a similar feature.

Can't you access the computers by name instead?

Yeah, chances are if there is the function to add DHCP reservations it would be pretty obvious. As you can't find it i'd asume it doesn't exist on that router. Connecting by hostname as Beansprout says would be a possibly solution.
