Belkin Router Connection problem

Sorry if this kinda thing has been posted before, but I couldn't find anything when searching.

A few months ago, I set up a mate's wireless connection, with a Belkin wireless cable router. It has been working fine, got it set with WPA protection and MAC filtering, and a password he picked, the usual.

Now, he has a friend trying to access from her laptop. They have added the MAC address, and the router's access page seems to see the laptop, name and all, but for some reason it won't accept the password that was set with the WPA protection, and I can't think myself what could be wrong.

Anyone got any ideas, I'm stumped!!

Which model is the belkin router?

Mine is the F5D7633, belkins are known to be flaky using MAC filtering I now mine is :p is the latest firmware loaded onto the router?

I would personally disable one of the security features and pinpoint the cause that way, I could be way off and probably turn out to be the laptop its self :D

If I mind right, its a G or G+. Found some stuff on another thread (eventually) and will try and get connected and ping some websites, see what happens, but hoping to get it done in 10 minutes next time I see him.
