so what i thought to be talktal's internet connection slowly going down the drain, actually turned out to be the router.
Seems to sync somewhere in the region of 700-900Kbits down, yet plugging in the generic el cheapo talk talk router, i suddenly get sync speeds of 2436Kbits (speedtest shows 2.08Mbits, which sounds about right).
After an hour on the phone to belkin support and changing just about every option availiable, i managed to claw the speed back up to around 1.5Mbits, but literally seconds after i hung up, it decided to disconnect, then reconnect at 870Kbits once again.
Im completely lost here. All the connection settings (PVC/VPI/VCI etc) are identical on the two routers, so i dont see why the nice shiny expensive belkin router is playing up.
