Hi

I have recently brought a Belkin Switch2 KVM but it has a PS/2 connection for the mouse and keyboard. If I was to buy a USB to PS/2 adator would this allow it to still function correct?

If so, can you get the adaptor's from Overclockers (as I can't find them!)

Don't have the same KVM, I have a D-Link and some others, variety of 4 and 2 way and I've never managed to get it to work but I was trying to do something different, I had a mobo with only a single PS2 port so was using the adapter to go from PS2 from the KVM to USB plugged into the mobo.

I take it that it worked fine with the Mobo?

What model is your D link?

I am thinking of buying a new KVM but I'm not sure what I need.

I have the following to connect -

PC
Laptop
WIRELESS keyboard and mouse (that use a USB hub to connect)
Monitor

Any ideas?

No it didn't, for that particular machine I also have a USB connected mouse so have to switch mouse when flicked over to that PC.

I've personally not found the D-Link to be very good, we used to use them in the office and they'd suffer from the occasional mad-mouse as I call it where the mouse just goes crazy around the screen. The 1's we use at the mo are StarTech model SV411K which seem a lot better.

I'm going to get a Belkin Switch2 USB model instead then with the audio, as these sound like the best models.

We also use the D-Link type at work and suffer the same problem so I think that ruled them straight out!

As I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that run through a USB would this work fine or is there a 'special' type to include wireless mouse and keyboards?
