I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Yes, the UPS will have over-current protection to keep you from frying it by plugging in faulty equipment, overloading it with too many devices, or having previously working equipment fail (like a blown PSU). It does this in order to reduce the possibility of an electrical fire so it's certainly a good idea.
the belkin ups (1200W one) will trip if you over load it, it's done it to me when I overloaded it with a hairdryer
Then theres the obvious benefits of the ups such as battery in power cut outs etc. There may be a conflict with the power supply and the ups staying on though ie power trips, pc stays on via ups
What I mean.. Like if something is faulty the electric will trip off and you have to find the faulty device and unplug it. cos the electric will turn off instantly when its turned back on if its not unplugged, I was just wondering if the ups would be sensative to faulty devices that were plugged in to it.
So basically we will never have a fire cos the moment when something become dodgey or faulty the power trips. but saying that, we had a fish tank pump that was faulty and that didnt make the power to trip
you wouldnt know would you, cos nothing lasts forever and when something it at its end of its life it becomes faulty, and it would be nice if the power trips off when that happens
Like we have a emersion heater and its come to its end of its life, so now if we turn it on the power goes off instantly. Im guessing it needs a new heating elimate
I could use circuit brackers in all the 4 sockets in the ups, but that would be a tad exsensive
