Im currently having problems with my wireless network, and i am after a bit of help and advice, i have looked over the Wireless sticky, however I still have a few problems.
I am currently using a Belkin Wireless G Plus Router this is located two floors down from my computer with the main admin computer and its not possible to move it, when i connect directly to the network my status is normaly 'no signal' or 'very low'. So i then bought a Belkin range extender. This has worked well at times and boosts my signal to 'very good', one of my questions is, what else can i do to boost the signal? However heres my main problem. My neighbours also have a wirless network and although i have told them to lock it, they havnt. My wireless range extender keeps connecting to their network and boosting their signal rather than mine. As far as im aware this can be stopped with MAC address filtering, however how do i configure the range extender?
I use this computer mainly to play online games (EvE online) and its really not ideal that my range extender keeps losing connection at random times.
Any help would great, sorry if this basic stuff, but im not too experianced with wirless networks.
Thanks,
-RK
