Hi,
Just a quick one:

What benchmark can i use to compare the performance of two different graphics card in a multi-monitor environment? The cards aren't particularly amazing (both old Nvidia) but just wanted to see which is the better of the two.

Thanks
:)

Any ideas? I'm assuming there is some relevant benchmarking software for this but don't really know!!

What is it you're going to use the PC for? If it's general PC use, then as long as the card is reasonably modern (as in Win 10 supports it) and can output to your screens then it'll be fine.

If you're going to run a game on one while having the desktop showing on the other, then just look for benchmarks for your single screen resolution. Technically running the second screen will lower the performance, but not noticeably - it's like doing a lap of a track with a passenger in your Ferrari compared up solo.

If you're looking to run a game across both screens (assuming it's not an FPS where you'll be aiming at the bezel in the middle of a 2 screen setup) then just look for benchmarks that are roughly the same total pixel size - so for 2 x 1920x1080 screens (4.1 million pixels) look at 2650x1440 benchs (3.7 million pixels).

Thanks Confused Stu :) It's mainly for general desktop use but i wasn't sure which of the two old cards I have would be better to use. 2GB GTX285 and a 1GB Nvidia 460 of some sort. I'll be using either for the time being until i upgrade my pc's guts.

I'll run the single monitor performance. I have a 1440p screen there. One of the others is 1080, the third an old and lower res screen.
