I'm not normally really into benchmarking my computers but I've just ordered a new gaming laptop and I want to make sure that it works OK. So can anyone recommend some decent gaming benchmarking software for Windows 10 at all? I just want to stress test the machine to make sure it doesn't overheat or anything like that and to make sure that it is running stable. I won't be playing that many games on it but the ones I will be playing are pretty intense. I'm also somewhat worried about cooling because it is a very high end laptop and I don't want to find out in a couple of months that it is overheating when I try out a new game on it.

Any help is appreciated :).

you can look at review sites like notebook check
eg MSI Dragon

which has stress benchmark references and documentation eg

When under unrealistic maximum loads (Prime95 + FurMark), we were able to record a surface temperature of 49 C on the bottom rear of the unit.

so you can checkout whether thermal paste mods or fan mods are effective
