Benchmarking VR setup?

Hey All,

What would be the best way to get some benchmarks from VR games / experiences, which software should I be using for the stats?

To record I am guessing OBS Studio will do the trick, I have used that before.

I am using a Rift but details on how to do it with Vive too might also be useful for others.

Dont have my SteamVR score to hand, I did post it on here somewhere.

What spec is your machine and are you using the Oculus Debug tool for SS?

My SteamVR score is 11 :-

AMD FX8350 @4.5Ghz OC
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX r2
EVGA 1080 FE

I run 1.6 SS on everything via the debug tool and make sure any in game SS is disabled.

Project Cars when you get it all dialled in is a great VR experience.

Agreed, positioning of the unit on your face does make a huge difference.

I just recorded some Project Cars at 1.6SS with Performance Monitor and Afterburner to show my FX8350 and GPU stats using OBS, the CPU doesnt get over 80% on any core, it is working all the cores though, the GTX 1080 is pegged over 80%, I am actually pretty impressed I thought my old CPU would be going flat out

Anyway to get an FPS counter in the rift for recording, would rather not use the Debug Tool overlay as its quite intrusive.
