Bending bodywork

A parcel force driver has managed to hit my open car door as I was putting something in the boot, resulting in a nicely bent door.

The problem I have is the car needs MOTing by the end of the week and I can't get a replacement by then. I assume it wouldn't pass due to "dangerous body parts" so what would be the best way to temporary fix it without completely destroying the paint?

True I probably should have shut the door but really it's his responsibility to not hit stationary objects! I'm going to try get hold of his boss who owns the van and try settle it in cash tomorrow.

edit: I'm sure that isn't what happened monkey_boy, hopefully he'll just admit his mistake

I found a door in better condition than mine was before the crash for £35 on eBay, so I told him I'd take £50 cash and I wouldn't go any further with it. It is a 10 year old car with plenty of scuffs/dents anyway so I don't need perfection.

Anyway I've just been hitting it with some body work hammers and it doesn't look too bad :D so I might just spend the cash on something else
