Will they still work ok?

I've a P5q deluxe and will be watercooling the NB shortly so im wondering instead of just cutting the heatpipes (to leave the other part of the copper on the mosfets) if i bend it up 90degrees will it still work ok?

id be cutting off the purple bit (snip) and bending the NB part upwards 90 degrees.

What do you think? (theres also a fan on the mosfet end of the heatsink atm)

im not bothered about a warranty , its only a 775 board :P

Guess i can try it and if not snip snip, and add another fan to mosfets, plus im gonna plaster it in gunk once i get that mach2gt off Archangel :)

Because it a double heatpipe it most likely will not work.
Snip the pipes - use new thermal pads/tim and bolt mod the MosFet Heatsinks.
Or get some enzotech/thermalright aftermarket ones

It'll work fine. Note that when you cut the SB pipe you'll get a couple of drops of fluid coming out, so drain it out before refitting it to the motherboard.
