BenQ 120Htz - Without 3d?

3D is an optional mode - it enables when the game/application/driver you're running is in 3D enabled mode.

2D 120hz is what you'll be interested in.

I have this monitor, I run it mainly in 2D 120hz mode but also have the option to run in 3D with the added NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision 2 New Wireless Glasses & IR Emitter Kit i purchased as well.

The monitor is fantastic, very pleased I got it.

Hi again guys

Was just wondering if they did a 120Htz without the 3D as this would have been a cheaper option as I am planning on buying 3 monitors

How are you connecting yours? Via HDMI or DP cable?

Also, could you do me a favour

What are the actual screen dimensions and outer monitor screen sizes in mm?

Kind regards

Lew

3d capability is a byproduct of the fact it can do 120hz if you like so no, no non 3d option.

Unless your needing 120fps, or intend 3d at some point there are cheaper and probably better screens in terms of picture quality and colour reproduction but will be 60hz screens.

120hz is brilliant tho. You don't need to run 120 frames to get benefit out of them.

I have my HP LP2475w setup next to my BenQ in portrait mode, after using 120hz for months and then moving windows to the HP and browsing, it is clique to say, but it really is "Night and Day". The HP feels so laggy in comparison.

The HP is a very fine IPS monitor, when you compare pictures side by side the IPS has so much depth of color what the poor TN panel can not compete at all with.

In reality tho, if you're not doing lots of photography/editing and needing accarute colors i'd settle with the BenQ every day of the week!

oh I agree I have three 120hz screens on my main rig so appreciate the difference even when not gaming or using 3d, and have an ips screen on my second rig for when I want to get down to colour work. just mentioned it without going into detail incase the op hadn't considered the differences.
