Benq 120hz which cable?

I'm looking for the right cable to get 120hz mode on this monitor it's been said I need a dvi dual link cable I've looked on the Internet but I don't know what they look like. Could someone supply me a link please or picture.

use the dvi cable that's supplied in the box

It will have a rectangular set of pins and is supplied with the monitor.

Assuming its one of the BenQ XL24xxx monitors it should have a DL-DVI cable in the box as mentioned above, you can also use the displayport connection for 120Hz but I find DVI more reliable.

Did not come in box as i purchased from auction site - seller was supposed to send to me but he did not therefore im looking to purchase one now.

The ones which look like all the pin areas are filled up. Looked at a few differenti n the local cable shop and some have the square bits missing and won't do what you need. The fully pinned male male ones you need.

If you are intending to run the screen at 120hz you will need a Dual link DVi lead like this one.

I have that cable. When i try to run in 120hz it gives me the error "please use correct cable supplied"
it is a 25 pin i believe with unplugging it i cant link to site i got it from as its a competitor but im sure its dvi-d

What kind of videocard are you using? Do you have two DVI outputs on your videocard? Try the other one.
