i got the BENQ 24 inch monitor this one http://benq.co.uk/products/LCD/index.cfm/product/1098
Im not able to get into windows and set drivers up at moment due to my hard drive breaking waiting for replacement. When i do boot up and go into the bios the greys are very visible despite it being advertised at 40,000 : 1 contrast ratio. Now i am not sure if at boot screen its normal to be like this and requires to be in windows with drivers.
Also will i see improvments to picture quailty and other aspects being hooked up to hdmi. That link also claims my monitor is 5ms but my monitor and box says 2ms
