Anyone have any experience with this monitor? I've been considering getting the Dell U2412m for a while but noticed recently this BenQ model which has no PWM LED lighting. I find myself quite sensitive to flicker so think that will be a bonus.

There really doesn't seem to be much info about it though. The Dell looks nicer, IMO but the backlight is saying me towards the BenQ.

i love benq they make some of the best displays but i hope they update their styling soon, im all for function over form but then there's outright ugly too :(

I must admit I do miss my old CRT running at 85/100Hz, even in Windows for general smoothness. The 1200 height of the other BenQ will be more important for what it'll get used for, and only occasional gaming.

Maybe by the time I get around to having enough time to do more gaming OLEDs with amazing response times will be the norm.

Anyway, read those two reviews. Seems pretty good, not much different to the Dell. If it wasn't for the potential flickeryness of the Dell I'd get that, and save £30. Hmm.

there's a lot of 27inch around your budget i duno if you like them?
i think dells 27inch doesnt use pwm

some nice new looking screens coming from acer too, a budget brand maybe but they look nice to me
their 27inch version looks great, i forget the name but some1 on here has 1

they have new b6 and v6 range too, not seen any reviews yet but look good! :)

are they both ok, which one is better.. i dont have a monitor atm need one asap..

also needs to be wall mountable

thank you

All the 27" screens that are around my budget are 1080p. I'd be tempted by the 27" DGM with the 16:10 response but that's gonna be too big for where it will be going :-(

So out of the 16:10 24"ers I think its either the U2412m or the BL2411PT.

I've been meaning to review this monitor but other things keep getting in the way.

What I can tell you about the BL2411PT is that it offers a viable and in my opinion more attractive alternative to the Dell U2412M. It has a lighter matte screen surface which invites more clarity and vibrancy to the image (I found the anti glare surface on the U2412M abhorrent, but I'm quite fussy about this). The flicker free backlight is of course a bonus and the panel it uses seems to be better set up from the factory when it comes to colours. It also has better balanced grey to grey acceleration (doesn't have the U2412M's inverse ghosting that some users notice and also has configurable AMA acceleration).

I don't mean to confuse matters but I suspect Dell will be launching their replacement for the U2412M shortly. IFA in Berlin is just around the corner and Dell are big players there. I suspect they will launch their replacement for the U2412M in a few months time. If it is revealed at IFA that would be a nice confirmation of course.

Perfect. Just what I wanted to know. The BenQ it is then. It doesn't look as good, IMO, but I can cope with that.

Tempting to wait for a new Dell model but I think I'll get that one now. Bit of a change to my old L90D+

sorry to jump in, hope you don't mind? - i am thinking about the same monitor, the benq with 120hz
is there a version that is 120Hz and one that is 144Hz or is this XL2411T mostly advertised as 120Hz but also supports 144Hz? i am asking because OC website states its 144 but elsewhere its 120 so i got confused!

also, in this price range what are my alternatives from asus? (meaning under 250£) for a 120hz monitor?
