Hi all,
I've just bought one of these as part of my Christmas rebuild, and I've noticed my current one seems to suffer from what almost appears to be scanlines in the bottom half of the screen. Its more noticeable on a pale, solid background, and quite literally looks as if there is thin, evenly spaced (about 1mm apart), horizontal, slightly darker lines going across, especially in the lower middle part of the screen, which is why I dub this scanlines as it looks very similar.
Now, it's not 'too' obvious, but I can see it clearly enough it's a little annoying, I've seen some mixed info on whether this is a general 'feature' of this screen, or perhaps something that some batches/screens do worse than others, as some people have chocked it down to a fault, some to the downside of LED backlighting, and some to just being slightly cheaper protectors over the backlights, and it looks like I'm not the first to request a replacement for it, but haven't seen much feedback from AFTER replacements.
Just thought I'd see if anyone else with this screen has experienced this, and if so whether they did anything else about it? It's more or less my own real complaint about this monitor for the £100 I paid for it, it's just a shame as this mars whats otherwise pretty reasonable image for a £100 screen with TN!
It does however also seem pretty possible that due to the cost of the screen, the QC just isn't as strong, as it's not something I've seen mentioned in the reviews.
