BenQ G2222HDL issue

I've just bought a BenQ G2222HDL monitor and it's absolutely excellent apart from one small niggle: the screen occasionally goes black for about 3-4 seconds then comes back on..

This has only happened a handful of times, but then again I've only had it for a couple of days. It's not actually too much of an issue, because it only goes black (as if the screen has been turned off) for a few seconds, then comes back to life. This can happen when I'm typing, so it's not Windows putting it to bed - I don't think. Also, when it happens the light stays green, instead of going orange when it's on standby, suggesting it should still be on and isn't actually asleep.

I was just wondering if anyone else may have noticed this, or hopefully has a cure? It's not massively annoying.. yet.. but it is brand new, so I kinda want it to be perfect.

The rest of my computer setup is brand new too, but I don't know if that bears any relevance to this situation? My graphics card is a GTX 460 if that's of any use?

Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Sounds very much like a loose cable. Reconnect the cable at both the GPU and monitor end and make sure it's in tightly. Also try another cable if you can and see if the problem persists. Make sure the power cable is also in properly.

Okay thanks, I'll have a look at both cables and see - that'd be great if it's just a loose cable thing :)
