BenQ G2222HDL problem

My shiny new monitor arrived this morning and after around a half hour or so i notied sets of horizontal lines that are noticable but not too pronounced. It's kind of hard to explain accuratly but closest i can get is similar to the kind you get when a mobile phone is close by, scanning lines. I sm not sure if this is a fault or because it's new and will go away with use but either way its a little disconcerting. anyone any ideas on this kind of thing?
