I've just purchased this monitor and it should be here within like.. the hour, but i'm just wondering, overall is this a good monitor? it seems to have okay reviews and what not on the page, i can't find a hardware review for it, but it seems to be semi-decent.

Anyone else have it? or have had it? is it any good? good display? good for gaming etc?

There are a few short reviews here and here, but I don't reckon you will see any proper in-depth reviews of this level of monitor.

From what i've read it looks like a really good monitor for the price (one of the cheapest 1080p monitors about) , plenty responsive for gaming and the resolution and size are good for the cost. It doesn't use the best quality panel in the world - but for gaming and video uses it should be good enough.

Oh okay mate, thanks a lot!
Will read into these reviews now.

I have the BenQ G2420HD monitor and I would happily buy another monitor made by them it has been a superb one so far :D

I don't think you need to worry. It's quite easily the best value 22" monitor currently available. I have only used it briefly and even in that time I could poke at it critically - don't think that would be justified given the price and overall performance though. It provides a nice vibrant image, much more than enough brightness and I don't think you'll have any problems with the responsiveness for gaming either. I would have loved to give it a 'proper' review but I only had a matter of minutes to play around with it. BenQ's PR department didn't have any review samples to send me.

Do let us know how you find it when it comes. Don't be afraid to tweak it as out of the box they tend to push towards blues a bit much vs. other colours. You'll almost certainly want to reduce the brightness (you'll see what I mean when you get it) and if I recall correctly all of the Senseye presets bar the 'game' mode are terrible and 'game' mode may not be to everyone's taste either.

Plenty of people have bought the 24" version of that monitor and been impressed for the price. As long as you don't mind the slight loss in size, I imagine it's an excellent value for money monitor.

Let us know how it is :)
