Had to advise you guys about this monitor as its back on TWO. I took a bit of a gamble on this a couple of weeks ago and boy am I glad I did, for the money I think its amazing. Benefits of an IPS panel but with the speed of a TN, the deepest blacks I've ever seen and an actual working DCR. The one I received had no dead pixels and no backlight bleed. This is a lot of monitor for the money.

Read this review from TFT Central.:D

Appreciate the impromtu review. I'm actually looking at one myself. Does the 1980x1080 @ 27" look okay?

I've got 3 now!
TBH, if you are doing a fare bit of photo work or other high end stuff where image quality is very important then maybe pick something else. For gaming especially a multi screen sim rig like I'm using mine for I think they would be hard to beat given price/size/quality.

Yes they do look crap out of the box btw. Once calibrated I'm hard pushed to see difference between these and my old Dell 24" or last years 24" Samsung

Does to me, been playing FarCry 3 and it looks amazing. I followed the hardware calibration guide in the review and then downloaded one of the profiles (user)and installed as instructed, it was amazing watching everything change in front of me in a second. Really chuffed with how it turned out, amazing to think this monitor out of the box had brightness at 100% and now, with the profile, it is 14%.
