Happy Holidays folks!
I'm hoping someone can advise me on something...I've just ordered a Benq XL2420T monitor (seen some great reviews on it for playing fps games at 120hz) but I've heard a lot of varying views on running at 120hz and using certain gfx cards. I currently have a GTX 660Ti card in my system - great little card - and I'm thinking of either getting a second one for sli mode or maybe getting a 670 instead (mainly for cooling and power consumption reasons). Here's a few of questions for you:
1 - I'm not really worried about running uber settings for something like BF3 - will investigate monitor settings for that later - but is there anyone here running an sli setup with this monitor or atleast at 120hz that can impart some experience on this?
2 - Is anyone running this monitor on a single gfx card like the 660 Ti or 670 (whilst running something like BF3) that maybe has either some game settings or monitor profile settings that could help me run things smoother? I believe that by running it at 120hz (or mhz if that's wrong...please don't flame me!) will mean that the gfx card is working twice as hard due to 'rendering' 2 images- could be wrong on that fact maybe - but I'm hoping that with either the sli'd 660Ti option, or a single 670, will atleast give favourable and playable results
I appreciate any help given and apologise if this sort of thing has already been asked.
