My system is..

i5-2500k
Z68AP-D3
8gb Ram
MSI 4gb 770

Im really torn between the BenQ XL2411T / BenQ XL2420T or the Eizo Foris FS2333 but not sure with my system if it would be worth me going for a 120hz monitor.
So would i benefit or should i go with the Eizo.

Some advice would be great as ive been tearing my hair out for weeks bout this.

Regards.

My exact question to myself too.i went for the BenQ xl2411T because I'd heard the Eizo was great if you got a good one but that quality control was a bit dubios.
I love the Benq, was worried that it wouldn't look that good but be fast response, after tweaking it's both.
I'm sure the Eizo is great too.

Even if your not hitting 120fps solid you can still get a lot of benefit from a 120Hz panel unless your a stickler for vsync.

I'd have to vote against the benq purely because I have one and the colour quality does my head in and seems a similiar story with other benqs I've had/seen, but I've no experience of the EIZO, keep meaning to try one out.

The Eizo uses a VA panel rather than a TN, so really there is no comparison, the colour and contrast will be much, much better than the BenQ. The Eizo is the only none TN panel on the market currently (that I know of) that uses anything more than a 60Hz panel. Which I suppose makes it the best product of it's type.

I agree that the Eizo display colours and contrasr is going to
be a lot more accurate etc than the Benq but coming from a Hazro and currently an apple display i was amazed playing BF4 last night how good the benq was in the colour dept. id bought it with the intention of returning it and getting the Eizo if i was dissapointed but im keeping the benq , but if you buy the Eizo
According to reviews youll love it.

You do realise the OP is talking about the FS2333, a PLS model? Very different to the FG2421 which I've given my own thoughts on here.

Ah right sorry I meant the Eizo foris VA 240hz.

Surprising the quality control is bad on that FS2333 because Eizo are supposed to be a top brand.

It's an easy mistake to make. You were just following the flow of the thread above you. :p

The quality control of the FS2333 is reasonable but no better than 'more mainstream' manufacturers really. It's the FG2421 that's particularly problematic. EIZO have something of a reputation for excellent quality control for their higher end models but sadly that doesn't filter down to all of their products.

Are you saying that the Foris VA 240hz has bad quality control? That's not good at £400+. What wrong with it? The backlight bleed?

There are gigantic threads on other forums detailing various issues. As for ones I've had reported directly to me - all sorts of uniformity issues, gamma issues, strange marks and scratches, foreign objects under the screen surface. Probably more I can't remember off the top of my head. What's more people have had a very poor experience with EIZO CS here in the UK and US and were just thankful they were able to resolve the issue with the retailer in the end instead.

Sounds pretty poor for a company which are supposed to be "high end" products.
