hello just to tell you of my recent purchase of my new wide gamut monitor benq sw2700pt ,the first one I got was terrible backlight bleed think this was more down to poor man handling etc this I purchased from amazon sent back next day ,decided to change vendor and used wex photographic this came boxed in a box with air sacks bingo everything worked as expected and extremely pleased with it ,little puck that comes with it useful also to swap between srgb and adobe rgb ,and several other colour profiles if you wish the low blue light is great for reading info text etc so no eye strain inflicted .
would have loved a 4k monitor but wide gamut ones are costly and really I would have to up size of monitor also to benefit ,I feel

love the built in hood also ,I am now deciding wether I should calibrate my monitor or not ,my colormunki is not supported in the benq color palette software so may have to buy another one ,but for the moment it looks very good ,also a surprise is how subtle the difference between the the two gamuts are, greens are better shown on adobe rgb ,also things seem a little cooler than my my old calibrated dell u2311h using color munki calibration .

A good monitor recommended but I think in future I will avoid amazon for some electronic goods

Would agree with your comments on the monitor. I purchased one whilst at the Photoshow this year and I find it to be very good indeed.
