Hi,

I have a strange problem with my monitor. When I have a bright background or a white screen with moving images I see a non-uniform or patchyness on the screen. It's like the antiglare coating is not even. For instance, if I get a window with a white background and move the window around I looks like the screen is dirty with dust and has a slight patchyness about it. This is also apprent when playing games whilst looking up at a sky ect. I'm not sure if this is normal or not as I also have a samsung which has it but only very slight. It's only really noticable if you look for it but it's becoming distracting because I know it's there.

I can't really upload a pic as it doesn't show it. Is this normal for a LED 120HZ monitor??

It is completely normal and not about unevenness, refresh rate, panel type or backlight type at all. The XL2410T has a moderate haze value antiglare surface and it would seem you are sensitive to that. It is physically impossible for such a surface to reduce glare without treating the light coming out of the monitor in the same way. I would have a read of this article and see if it sounds familiar to you.

Thanks for the reply. I've had a read and it does make sense but I'm not sure if it's the same as what I'm seeing.

I will have to investigate further.

Have a look at the U2412HM review on the site too as this may reflect what you are seeing.
