When i turn it on, the BenQ screen loads up with a blue screen saying the name etc, can i stop this to have the display come straight on?

If so, how?

You mean the purple splash screen? That is displayed whilst the monitor starts up and can't be disabled. If you could disable it you'd just see a blank screen whilst the monitor started up, but as far as I'm aware there isn't a way to disable it. If it's preventing you from seeing something critical as you start up your computer be sure to turn the monitor on before the PC.
