BenQ XR3501, just bought it from OCUK. Having issues!

The monitor has bad ghosting when dragging windows around either side of the screen.
Dragging windows around in the centre of the screen results in hardly any blur or ghosting! If I open paint (to use as a white background), I can see a change in backlight colour on the curved sides.
Also the screen will flash with white artefacts during desktop use, at random.

Does the screen have a fault?

Tried all the AMA settings on the monitor to no avail.
Connected DP 1.2 - 290X - CCC 15.9.1.

strange have you tried it on a other screen or TV ?

Do you mean have I tried the PC with a different monitor? Yes, I've tried the ASUS VG278HE 27" and my LG TV in the living room. No ghosting/trailing on the sides of the screen. Like I said, this BenQ has little to no blur in the centre of the screen. The points which are most curved have noticeable trailing/ghosting. I just need to know if this is normal or not.

can only state the obvious.. contact OCUK costumer support and have a chat with them about it.

I've already sent a web note. I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone could confirm if this is normal or not. I also heard from a guy who called BenQ and he was told BenQ was doing an international recall on all XR3501's due to a colour issue. Not sure if it is related to my "possible" issue.

Probably why there was next to zero availability after launch in August, and no shipments between then and supposedly early December .... also massive delays to Acer XZ35 and Z35. That makes sense.

Did you get a replacement?

Notice there are still no ETAs on new stock (or pricing) for the XR3501 ... only place with stock anywhere is the US & Canada (where prices have dropped $200).

Z35 is in now at OCUK for £800. Surprisingly before the XZ35 which was announced way earlier and limited stock of which has been available in some European markets for a while.

Any ideas for XZ35 availability?
