Does anyone have any idea if/when BenQ are going to enter into the G-Sync and 4K/UHD game?

They were right up there with the 120/144hz 1920x1080 era but nothing new from them yet or any news that i can see.

Are they hiding something? or pulling out of the game?

I think hiding something might be closer to it. They have released a G-SYNC screen (XL2420Z) but that was oddly expensive due to having multiple scalers to overcome the traditional shortcomings of G-SYNC. This model has now been discontinued it seems and of course G-SYNC now makes it much easier for manufacturers to add additional HDMI ports and suchlike to their products anyway.

BenQ don't generally make a big showcase for new products early in the year, they tend to tape them out over the year at a fairly gradual pace. So I'm hopefully that they will have something nice in a G-SYNC flavour later on in the year.

They have arguably the best all round 4K monitor out there at the moment - the BenQ BL3201PT. Think it has FreeSync too, though they don't advertise it.
