Well when I finally got the Shuttle back I had a look and not just one pin was bent but all of them!!! I must have screwed the heatsink on too much. So I decided to try and straiten them all out but it didn't work. Yeh I'm gutted but I should have been a lot more careful now I'm gonna have to fork out another £100 for a new case, mobo and psu to justify all the other working components so let this be a lesson:

DON'T SCREW A HEATSINK ON TOO TIGHT!!!

I've never seen a heatsink bend all the CPU pins. The socket is designed so it evenly distributes the mounting force.

I'd like to see a picture of that.

Have you got a camera that'll focus closely enough to get a clear shot?

I've already bent the pins back.

I screwed the heatsink on too tight and so that pushed the CPU down and the CPU pushed the pins and bent them.
