Bentleyview Microstation and Autodesk

Does anyone know how these bits of software use processing power?

I want to build a computer that will handle these and am wondering what sort of GPU to use. Whether they're RAM or processor intensive, fast hard drive speed for page file etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What program from Autodesk? AudoCAD? Inventor? Maya?

Most use OpenGL, some use DirectX. All benefit from fancy "workstation" graphics, FireGL or Quadro cards.
