Just watching this on Sky movies.

I never saw it before and always assumed a cartoon version of the story would be gash.

It's electrifying to be honest. I've jumped out of my skin several times whilst watching this .

Strongly recommended, it's excellent.

It wasn't bad and it wasn't brilliant either. I can't say I thought Ray Winstone's voice fitted very well either, but that's more of a preference kinda thing.

It's a pretty good adaptation, but there's not one perfect film version of Beowulf- they all have their flaws. 'Beowulf and Grendel' is worth a watch though for a different take on the story.

It's probably not one for the medieval literature students, but nonetheless I really enjoyed it (despite knowing the text inside out).

100 inch wall projection screen may have helped somewhat :p

I did enjoy it, I thought it looked very nice.

Wasn't brilliant, but wasn't bad.

Ray Winstone's voice was good for me "I'm 'ere to kill your monstaa" Loved some of the one liners he had.

Angelina's character was good as well :)

I watched that recently because it was £4.99 on Bluray....bit of a wierd one, the acting was quite hammy in places, and the story unfortunately a little disjointed/unexplained in places, not a bad film and some of the views were pretty nice, but could definately have been a lot better. Neither version of Beowulf are perfect.

I heard really bad things about it, but actually rather enjoyed it when I saw it on Sky.

The only thing I didn't like was Angelina Jolie with her CGI heels and that same stupid accent she did in Alexander. I imagine she can only do american and "generic vague foreign accent".

It was a bit different from the poem (as you'd expect from Hollywood) and the eyes were all a bit dodgy but it was a lot better than I'd expected it to be.
