Have recently built a Ryzen 3800x pc using the stock cooler that came with the CPU. I built it in a NZXT H510i and added two BeQuiet Shadow Wings fans at the front and used the 2 preinstalled fans in the rear/top.
Man this pc is loud, but it’s not a constant volume, the cpu fan spins up randomly and I’ve ended up disabling the rear/top fans unless the cpu hits 70 degrees.
I’ve ordered another two 120mm Shadow Wings fans to replace the two that came with the case but wondered what your thoughts are on the Shadow Rock 3 cooler?
With the computer at 7% CPU load, the CPU is sitting at 65 - 71 degrees which seems really high considering the computers not doing anything.
Will the Shadow Rock 3 be sufficient to keep the temp down? I’m concerned that with idle temps at 65+ degrees, doing anything like video editing will cause problems so want to get a better cooler.
Unfortunately I have limited funds available having already spent way more than anticipated on this system so AIO’s are out as are the likes of the BeQuiet Dark coolers![Frown :( :(](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/frown.gif)
