Having a weekend in Berlin early March.

Anyone recommend foody / drinky places to check out whilst there?

4 days, 3 nights.

I am not going to be searching sausage.

Thinking more modern stuff.

There is a Mich star in the hotel but looking at something a bit different, doing interesting new stuff really, perhaps one of those places heading for stardom etc.

Block House is a very average chain, tried the one in Düsseldorf when I lived there. Certainly wouldn't bother with a special visit, unless you really really want an overpriced, average steak.
It did look a bit generic.

But still thanks for suggesting OP

Which hotel?

It took a while to pick one. We were bouncing around between hotel or apartment as I tend to prefer the freedom of apartments on city breaks. However we have gone with the Ritz-Carlton because it has lots to offer, decent dining and funky bar as well as a pool and Spa etc. Having said that we also want to walk and see stuff so it's a balance, hence the food asks. :)

I do like a keeeee bab it must be said. Not sure I’d go seek one out but as a walk in yes, my type of easy street food.

One of those cities Ive spent zero valuable time in. I have done quite a bit of bosh land, just never Berlin outside passing through.

We were booked into Ryotei 893 but never made it. Another recommendation from a local.

No longer need recommendations as the trip was last weekend. Shared what we found for future reference.
