My mum's iPad has slowed to a crawl and so she's asked me to have a look into an Android tablet to replace it (she's got an Android phone!)

She doesn't want to spend a fortune (£150 but might consider a bit more if it's worth it!) and is looking for around a 10" screen.

So far I've had a look at the Lenovo tab 2 A10, the Asus ZenPad 10.0 and the Nexus 9 (a bit smaller but should suffice!)

Any opinions on any of these tablets or have any others to recommend I should be looking at??

A Sony Z3 tablet, it's 8.9" but is much easier to hold and use compared to a 10" tablet. Great build quality, light and good performance.

You should be able to pick up a used one in good condition for <£200.

Can you not reset the iPad?

I've got the Nexus 9, and couldn't recommend it. It's so slow, especially compared to an Ipad.

My mum says she's tried a full reset (although I wasn't party to this and don't know much about Apple products so I'm not sure exactly what this entailed!) and it's made no difference!?!?

I might give it a one-over before we go for a new one!

I like the Sony tablets but it's dependent upon being able to find one!

Anyone got any experience of the Lenovo 2 A10??

I've just picked up the Asus Transformer myself and rate it quite highly (apart from the ludicrous positioning of the micro-SD card that pops out whenever I brush my finger against it!) but she's used to the Android eco-system and so wants that rather than Windows!

I've got a Lenovo tab 2 A10, brilliant tablet, had it since new year. I've used ipads and galaxy tabs before and can't see anything in them that justifies the price hike.
