hi guys, iv just built myself a gaming rig that consists of
amd 7750 cpu
asus m3n78 se motherboard
asus en9400gt graphics card
4gb geil 800mhz ddr2
700 watt psu
antec 300 case with 4 120mm and 1 140mm fan

what would be the best card to put in this?
iv been swaying towards a 4870 1gb but am a bit hesitant with it having no physx and seeing that directx 11 is around the corner.
il be running games like left 4 dead and a few rts like company of heroes and age of empires and starcraft 2 when its released and all at 1920x1080.
should i wait or is now a good time?

I would wait, make do with the *shudder* integrated graphics until the new ati cards come out.

i would say get a 4670 for the time being, this should allow you to play games, then get a DX11 Card when they come out.

A 4870 would be best as it's more suited to the Source Engine than the Nvidia ones and it's a better card for the price.

HD 48701GB, you can get one for £104, I know it's over £100, but it's the best card you'll get for the price.

HIS HD 4870 1GB

As for PhysX? *snigger* when will people stop pretending that it's actually a valid feature?

It's going to be dead and buried soon once DX11 comes out and GPU accelerated physics for all GPUs is a reality.

I have been using onboard graphics and now want to buy a new Graphics card myself. Thing is, i want a 'passive' one. What can i get for £60 - £100 max that will run any game, be it at low res or higher?
