Best £100 psu

I believe 6pin PCI-E connectors for the new 8800 cards (iirc you can get a molex adaptor to accomodate for these but most new PSU's have these) and for the new R600 (ATI's next gen cards) they are going for 8 Pin I think. Yeah as mentioned the Corsair is probably your best bet...

At the moment nothing too demanding, but I need a new PSU and just want one that will be able to run a C2D and a pair of gfx cards, 2 hard drives and a single DVD.

Its been linked a few times that the Corsair 620w is more than capable of 2 GTXs and quad core, so you should be fine :D

Corsair 620w for sure.

too bad ocuk doesn't stock thermaltake psu's as they are quite good for the money as well.

If memory serves they used to stock Thermaltake PSUs, not sure why they stopped, perhaps demand wasn't there in sufficient quantities. :)

matthew2456 if you want to spend around £100 on a PSU then why pick a Hiper at ~£50 particularly one at 530w? Obviously not all Hipers are dodgy but the Type-R 580w (modular) appears to have a worse record than most PSUs available. The Corsair 620w as has been mentioned a few times now is one of the best, fits within the budget and has been demonstrated running quad-core with SLi'd 8800 series cards. :)
