Best 1080p bluray titles - your choice

Hey all

I recently got 1080p Dark Knight and wow, it is amazing.

Please list your top 10 1080p bluray titles - make them a bit different as well as the action titles

Aren't all/most blurays 1080p?

Anyway Serenity looks stunning and all the Pixar ones.

Unfortunately not, some are 720p or 1080i, and some are just upscales from SD or "not quite" HD masters.

The above are my personal favourites from my own collection. Gonna purchase frozen planet next, the bbc wildlife series look fantastic in hd.

The Bourne trilogy can be had for 20 quid and are terrific on blu ray, with extras I actually watched and enjoyed.

Batman Returns. most other blurays i have seen look almost identical to there DVD counter parts, but this one looks a TON better.

I am suprised that no one mentioned tron legacy! Wow what a stunning quality br. Other than that aliens anthology (can be had in places for less than 15 quid!) Black hawk down, iron man 1&2, underworld 1&2 and minority report.

TDK really is the pinnacle in terms of Blu Ray's imo

wow, that's just so wrong! a handfull are 1080i but that's it, please tell me which ones are 720p, i'd love to know! And apart from a few TV shows no blu-rays are upscales from SD

well apart from the diffrences of age,how the movie was filemed/remasterd. yes technically they are all 1080i/p

but there are some that look the same as dvd's and others that just blow you away.

like dark knight for example, was filmed in imax and the scanned at extreme high res.

mostly, it's just the sharpness that you notice.

The blu-ray transfers of the original Alien / Aliens films are really good. You can pick up the quadrilogy boxset for a bargain price too!
