Hi all

I currently have a 120mm corsair SP120 PWM performance edition fan at the front of my case.

Now behind that are my 3 hard drives which on idle run at about 30c each.

am I right in saying as their is less room I would see a difference at all if I purchased a 140mm fan instead of the sp120 or owuldnt I see much difference.

Only I love the corsair fans but it seems corsair do not make a 140mm with PWM ( I need PWM as I control all my fans using xpert fan 2, although not to everybody choice its an easy to use software for me

or could anybody recommend a top of the range 140mm PWM fan I could buy for the front

Gotta throw in the Bequiet 140mm Silent wings 2. Incredibly quiet. More so then some of my Noctua's which in themselves are amazingly quiet.

30c is a great temp for hard drives I've ran my for years at 40c + and they're fine.
At best you might see a 1c drop in hdd temps no matter what you stick in there.
Just use the voltage controls in the motherboard to set the fan to 7v and be done.

I really wouldn't be worried about idle temps, it's only really the operating/load temps you need to worry about. A single 120mm fan over 3 HDD's is more than adequate.
