Usage is just gaming so I don't think it really matters about speeds etc. tbh.

On DDR4 3000mhz is the sweet spot. Kingston fury 2x 8gb sticks

Agree with 5960xNvidiaGamer, it makes little difference. So if you want to keep the cost down you can find cheaper 16GB kits, but do think the RAM you have linked to with the promotion price is good.
